Staff Reviews

Forman has delivered one of those books that wake the reader up in the middle of the night wondering how it all ends leading to finishing the book at three in the morning.  Freya, Nathaniel , and Harun’s back stories are all extremely different but they are all in the same place now….LOST!  Nathaniel can’t find a way to fit in the world after become almost feral living with his father, Harun can’t tell his family about his sexual orientation, and Freya who has always done everything correctly has lost her singing voice.  A freak accident pits them together and forms a bond helping each in their own way to cope with their lives.  Told in alternating chapters the dilemma facing each character is slowly revealed helping understand how they became “lost.”  Forman’s book will resonate for adolescents as well as many adults.
