In not too subtle of language and illustrations Bardhan-Quallen shows how “chicks” can persist when one is denied entry to the rocket club with a sign stating, “NO CHICKS ALLOWED.” Many chicks ban together to create their own rocket and blast the chick into space. “Chicks can conquer anything.” The sign is changed to “Everyone Allowed!!” This book comes at a particularly appropriate time when recently a female astronaut was denied her scheduled walk in space due to the lack of space suit that fit her.

About the Author
Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen is the author of many children’s books, including Tyrannosaurus Wrecks!, Quackenstein Hatches a Family, and Chicks Rule! She lives in New Jersey with her family.
Renée Kurilla is the illustrator of many books for children, including Chicks Rule! and Chicks Rock! She is the author-illustrator of One Springy, Singy Day. Kurilla was a lead artist at FableVision Studios for nearly 10 years. She lives just south of Boston with her family.
